Nagai doesn't run a web shop of his own. New editions, pop-ups and collabs get announced on his own accounts first. Follow them before you trust anything else.

The most up-to-date source. He posts or reposts pop-ups and partners like Tsutaya (Daikanyama, Ginza Six, Kyoto), HMV Shibuya, Isetan The Space, MATEC, OIL and Gallery Sato. He has also warned about fake sellers in posts and stories.
Mostly Japanese posts. He retweets official collabs and drops: the Art Print Japan collab first surfaced here, and earlier ones included Zoy Golf polos and a Daihatsu promo. He also flags unauthorized use of his work here.

Nagai's own studio. Around 2020–22 it sold signed poster sets through Instagram DMs, and told buyers there that Society6 and Redbubble are bootleggers. The account has been quiet since 2022, the studio closed for health reasons in 2024, and the old email bounces. It never had a web shop, so any site claiming to be FMCD is fake.
Signed, numbered editions and originals sold through partners Nagai has promoted himself. These are not cheap. Real signed editions start around $1,000.
Official venue of Nagai's first Thai solo show (2026). The prints are sold through its web shop under Private Sales. Visitors say they're signed, but the product pages don't state it. Tote bags and tees from the show went through a LINE shop.
Recurring spots he announces on Instagram: Tsutaya Daikanyama, Ginza Six and Kyoto, HMV Shibuya, Isetan The Space (Shinjuku), and the top floor of Loft Shibuya and Loft Umeda. They come and go with little notice.
Many Japanese shops don't ship abroad. Proxy buyers like FromJapan, ZenMarket, Buyee or Neokyo order for you and forward the parcel, for a fee.
In Tokyo, check Adult Oriented Records, the top floor of Loft Shibuya, Tsutaya (Ginza / Daikanyama) and department-store galleries. Pop-ups turn up without much notice.
In the EU, Gallery Sato in Paris avoids customs headaches.
On a budget, his official art books (Fukkan.com) and licensed calendars or vinyl are affordable and support him directly.
夕 Exhibitions 2026
No upcoming shows confirmed right now. New dates land on @hiroshipenguinjoe first.
His first solo show in Thailand, with 4 new originals. Pre-orders for signed prints (ed. 50, ~$2k) and merch via LINE.

Reported fake
nagaigallery.com · “Melody4Love” · @nagaigallery
Shopify store pushed via targeted Instagram ads. It claims 'Official Hiroshi Nagai Artwork' and 'Signature Print' for €69(≈¥12,300)(≈$80)(≈฿2,650)–€149(≈¥26,700)(≈$170)(≈฿5,720) in multiple sizes.
It uses FMCD Gallery's address without permission. Order emails come from “Melody4Love” with a Gmail reply-to, and discount mails are signed with a made-up family name. A buyer confirmed the print that arrived was not legit. FMCD's only storefront is its Instagram.
Pushed through Instagram ads in 2023–24, selling 'signed' prints in several sizes.
A buyer found consumer inkjet on photo paper, a printed signature and upscaled JPEGs with visible artefacts. The store deleted critical comments on its ads, then vanished without refunds, and Instagram removed the account. Nagai warned about these sellers on his own Instagram.
Printed signatures at that price point. Many buyers never received orders, support email went dead, and the store disappeared. People filed chargebacks and police reports.
Phishing copy of No Silly Collect, a Korean reseller of gallery posters whose post Nagai liked on Instagram.
The real shop's owner warned that only the .shop domain is theirs and the .com is a phishing site. Fake clones copy real names, so check the exact domain before paying.
Print-on-demand storefront using the artist's name.
It isn't his. Asked over Instagram DM, FMCD Gallery called Society6 and Redbubble 'bootleggers'. Buyers received low-res, creased prints and asked for refunds.
Twin of Eclat Atelier: same shop design, same pictures, same Instagram ads.
One listed piece isn't a Nagai at all (reverse image search finds nothing). Buyers waited weeks for orders, and Instagram removed the account. One buyer said a 'license' came with the print, but the studio never confirmed any.
“Hiroshi Nagai” canvases, A4 framed prints and poster sets for $20(≈¥3,100)(≈€17)(≈฿670)–$100(≈¥15,500)(≈€87)(≈฿3,330).
These are unlicensed copies of images scraped from the web, often AI-extended to fit an aspect ratio. Some listings say 'in the style of' to dodge takedowns. None of the money reaches the artist.
Endless 'city pop inspired' posters flooding Instagram, Pinterest and image search.
Generated in his style, with no artist credited. Not a Nagai, even if it looks like one at thumbnail size. Over half of a plain image search for his name can be AI output.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security (@DHSgov on X)
An official DHS post on X used a Nagai painting in one of its posts at the end of 2025.
Nagai wrote on X that the image was used without his permission and asked his followers what he should do about it. Unauthorized use isn't limited to shady print shops.
Price too good to be true?Signed, numbered editions cost $1,000–$3,000+. Originals start around $10k. A 'signed print' for €80 is not real.
Multiple sizes = reprintReal editions come in one fixed size. A dropdown with 30×40 / 40×50 / 45×60 is a print-on-demand shop.
Identical signaturesHand signatures vary from sheet to sheet. If every listing shows the exact same autograph, it's printed.
Stamp, certificate, receiptFMCD gallery posters carry a stamp under the title. Editions come with an edition number and certificate. Ask resellers for a receipt.
Cross-check his InstagramLegit partners are tagged or reposted by @hiroshipenguinjoe. FMCD's account has been quiet since 2022, so rely on his personal one. If he's never mentioned the shop, be sceptical, and check the exact domain.
